This past weekend 10/09/10 we went back to Buttonwillow Raceway near Bakersfield, CA. We took 2nds all across the board
2nd in the 3 hour endurance race
2nd in both PTE sprint races held on Saturday and Sunday
So overall a very strong performance, but just barely missing out on top position.
During the endurance race was hectic and brought our training to test. Worked with RJ Racing 2 (#13 Weekend-Racer.com) and set-up a dual pit stop session for both vehicles. During all this, RJR 2 radio connection had difficulties so we were not able to keep in contact with the driver. This led to confusion as to when he was going to pit, leaving #23 RJR 1 nervous because of low fuel levels. On top of that, RJR 2 lost a blown out tire on the driver side front leading to a quick and strenuous pit stop.
Aside from all the commotion, managed a quick tire change and got back on the track less than 1 lap down and still securing 2nd place!
