RRAAACCCCCIIIINNNGGG!!!!!!

So I’ve been lagging on these pictures of the Bimmer, but here are some.

Managed to install the transmission, but never showed the mounting points. I was going to buy a tranny mount from ireland, but realizing the price and what it was worth, I just decided to fabricate my own. So what you see is 2 L brackets that have been drilled out and positioned in the driveshaft well. I am a little worried about it though because the metal used is just steel while the bolts are grade 8 heat temps. So if anything, the brackets will fail before the bolts do.

I also installed a short throw shifter. I was going to save some money and not get it by using my old one, but the mounting points were different. SOOOO, I had to get a new shifter, but in the end it was worth it haha.

Other than that, mocked up my exhaust. I decided to run it to the rear of the vehicle instead of originally on the side as before. I was just having too much difficulty to get it to work there with the muffler I purchased. So it is a little more weight, but I don’t have to worry about scraping anymore. After mocking it up at my place, drove over to Ruben’s to get it welded. He is getting pretty deng good at it now haha. Took it for a couple of test drives…and I am very satisfied!
